In August, I received an email that it was out of stock, but I would be notified when it came in. In September, I received an email saying that my order was being cancelled because it was no longer available from the supplier. In early November, just by chance, I noticed that there were two in stock and ordered right away. I'd read the reviews about breakage during shipping, but hoped I'd get lucky...my heart sank when I picked up the box and I heard the sound of shattered glass. There was still one left in stock, so, I figured I'd give it another shot and requested a replacement cake stand, which is due to arrive next week. Given the fact that breakage is not an isolated problem with this item, I am not optimistic, but am hoping for a Christmas miracle. I'm sure this is a beautiful piece, and I'd love to surprise my daughter with it, but obviously there is a packaging problem that needs to...
