However, I could not use it as a cake plate due to the plate not being level. I had to return the item of which I was promptly refunded. It was probably a one time event. This review is from: BLACK CAKE PLATE - 12" FOOTED CAKE PLATE BLACK I LOVE this cake stand! My only problem is that it is NOT 12". When measured, with the rim, it's 11.75". The flat part inside the rim is only 11.25" At least my wedding cake designer can work w/ it, otherwise I would have had to find something else. BUT, I am looking forward to displaying it after the wedding - it's very cute and artsy.
